what would you die for?

read a great book yesterday.
ted dekkers martyrs song.
niina has written about the
power of stories on her blog a while ago,
worth to take a look.

and there really is power in stories

many dekkers books, stories, novels
have influenced me so much.

telling the gospel in the form of a story,
really inspiring and captivating.
changes hearts.

martyrs song tells a short story
about a little village in serbia in the time
of the second world war, and what
it can actually mean to follow Christ.

a small taster of the book :)
" `take this in remembrance of me`
Christ had said. Participate in the suffering of Christ,
Paul had said. And yet so many americans turned
forgetting into a kind of spiritual badge, refusing
to memorialize suffering for fear they might catch
it like a disease. Indeed, they stripped Christ of his
dignity by ignoring the brutality of his death.
The choice was no different than turning away
from apuffy-faced leper in horror. The epitome of rejection."

someone has said
unless you found something worth dying for
do you really have anything to live for either?
well said.

Hello Hon. Thank you so much for the gift - love you lots...will send email soon. The theatre company that i worked for this year has been exloring the telling of stories and the power that holds. The theme of our company is based on medieval players - a particular passion of mine is objects that carry storys and the power that can be found in have something visual along with a spoken story ( the whole us living in a visual society is well important i think!) Anyway said too much. be good. Merry Christmas.
